Club Sports Mic'd Up Campaign

Mic'd Up content is a staple of social media in sport, and for good reason. It provides an inside look that feels like exclusive access, and can be expertly tailored to shape narratives and branding.

With an understanding of its transferrable success, I brought a proposal for a URI rendition of the Mic'd Up series to the marketing team and club sports board.

Once approved, I sought the feedback of my co-workers, who provided key input on the shape of the project and how it might align with brand guidelines.

Mic'd Up content provides a window for prospective players and students to see the welcoming-yet-competitive nature of URI Club Sports.

The pilot episode saw record numbers among campus recreation content in terms of viewership and engagement.

Seeing this project through from conception, to proposal, to production was a remarkably rewarding experience — and one that has taught me a great deal about social media marketing.
